Third day of SIPAT Sequoia

SIPAT’s third day in Sequoia!

We have an informative stand about defensive driving: Did you know that Brazil is one of the 10 countries with the highest traffic deaths? Between January and June this year, there were more than 19,000 deaths, according to the Center for Research and Insurance Economics (CPES).

Today we are also talking about drugs and tobacco. For smoking employees, we distribute the “Boot Bituca”, for the butts to be deposited when there are no appropriate ashtrays or dumpsters for collection and to be properly disposed of later. Incorrectly disposed butt can take about 5 years to decompose, in

addition to the risk of burning.

The estimated number of smokers in the world is 1.6 billion, according to the World Health Organization (WHO), generating 7.7 million butts per day, according to information from the Working Conditions Authority (ACT). Proper disposal makes the difference!
